London's newest public artwork is here

London is home to some of the world's most iconic public spaces, and next week one of them will welcome an exciting new work of art.

On Thursday 10 September, Lady in Blue by acclaimed artist Tschabalala Self will be unveiled as the latest commission for Trafalgar Square's Fourth Plinth. The new sculpture pays homage to a young, modern woman who reflects many of today’s Londoners.

Since 1999, the Fourth Plinth has showcased thought-provoking contemporary artworks that have sparked conversation, inspired debate and brought world-class art into the heart of our city for everyone to enjoy, free of charge.

If you're in central London on Thursday morning, join the unveiling from 9am, or visit Trafalgar Square in the weeks and months ahead to see the sculpture (https://us.list-manage.com/104unsVJVjX?e=ecc03a6ac7&c2id=ce16c2130458c1486ce07ac36e1b9c76) for yourself.
