Due to freezing temperatures today, the first SWEP of the winter has been activated. This means that London boroughs across the capital will open additional emergency accommodation for people sleeping rough.

Sleeping rough is always dangerous, but during freezing cold weather, it can be life threatening.

If you see anyone in need of shelter or are worried about someone you’ve seen sleeping rough, you can connect them to support by contacting StreetLink. (https://london.us21.list-manage.com/track/click?u=46fb828256f8952f90a5738c3&id=cae5d97baa&e=ecc03a6ac7)

StreetLink will notify the local outreach team. They will then try to locate the individual, assess their needs, and offer support. Doing this is quick, free, and could save a life.
